Shahrukh Khan's Invited for Tea

See..... 2 blogs in less than 3 days, I'm making progress, woot! :)

Here's some more traveling news...

A week from today I'm going to New Delhi, India for 3 weeks. You're  probably thinking, What? Didn't she just come back from China?! Or uh is she rich?!
The answer to that is yes I did and no I'm not rich, it just so happens that my aunt is working and living there with her husband and has been inviting me to go visit them. And since this would be their last year there I thought I might as well take the chance now that I'm not working or in school. My accommodations and food are taken care of so all I'd have to worry about is the shopping and plane ticket (which I bought and got a pretty dang good deal on, thanks to the end of peak season).

It's gonna be a looong flight though, 21 hours and I'm flying solo with a 4 hour layover in Istanbul (if I had a penny for every time someone said omg you're so brave! Haha)
I suppose flying solo to Shanghai and Hong Kong has made me a bolder and more confident traveler. Yeah, apparently it does that to you. Plus I love challenge and adventure. Just call me Dora the explorer....or better yet Lara Croft...no..wait...I'm not a tomb raider...nevermind. And don't worry about me, I will be careful.

I'm excited but also kinda anxious as my mind is now registering all this....it's like dude, you're going to India in 1 week! Next week you'll be on New Delhi soil breathing in Delhi air! (Which I hear is um....very distinct)

So this should be quite a trip. With lots to blog about. You shall all be kept posted and I'll make sure not to spare any juicy details on awkward/funny encounters and cultural collisions which are bound to happen on a daily basis.

Aaaand on that note, I leave you here with a song I've been lately obsessed with...

Love peace and cheese, Liss

Confessions of a Travel Junkie

Hello fellow bloggers, I'm back....one year later!
Back on the scene again! Man, I guess I'm no good at this blogging business eh.

....Where do I start.......it's the new year, 2015! It's crazy how fast time is speeding by us. I'm really thankful for the past year, it's been an amazing one full of new adventures and experiences. I'd say 2014 would be a year I will never forget. The year I went to China for 4 months to teach English to children. How bizarre is it that it already feels like a dream. Looking back I can now say I regret nothing! I had the chance of a lifetime and took it :) there were stumbling blocks along the road of course but in the end it was soo worth it!
If you are ever presented with an opportunity to work or even study abroad I highly recommend you don't pass it up! You'll be glad you did, trust me.

Yup, China definitely takes the headline for 2014.
Here are some pics from my trip.....

Wuzhen
(a beautiful little picturesque water town, basically Chinese Venice)
