Back 2 School (and Kdramas!)

Hello peeps! Here's an update on ma vie....from what's happened in the last couple of months (seriously I'm terrible at this....and the award for the worst blogger goes to...)

I am now sadly a hobo, living off of people's pity coins in the streets of Toronto...............KIDDING!

School is what's been up. Yup that's right, this coming fall, I'll be starting SCHOOL again. I've come to realize that it's time for me to begin focusing on carving out a stable career for myself in the field that I want. So here I am. Back at square one. I'm excited and really nervous...it's been over 4 years since I've been out of school already. It's going to be weird going back. However, I am looking forward to meeting new people.

I'll be starting at Centennial College for the Occupational therapy/physiotherapy assistant (OTA/PTA) program. It's 2 years so it's not that bad. I know this is the right direction for me. I enjoyed teaching but I've always felt in my heart that my calling was in the field of therapies. So that's just what I plan to do. And eventually my ultimate dream is to integrate arts into my practice. Art Therapy. After all, I can't let my arts degree go to waste. I leave it all in God's hands. We'll see how this plays out.

So obvi no travelling plans for now. I have to save up for next year, one of my best friend's is getting married and she's doing a destination wedding in Jamaica. She asked me to be one of her bridesmaids! Never have I imagined going on a destination wedding let alone be a part of the bridal party of one! Super stoked for that. I also have future plans to either do a UK trip, visit Australia or Brazil. And I'd love to see more of Canada, travel out East or West. GAAHH so many places to see, so little money....the struggle. is. real.

Anywho, I'll keep you posted on any more grand life events. Stay tuned folks!

On a totally unrelated note: So as of recently, I've become a little obsessed with Korean dramas---actually Korean culture in general. Don't ask me how it happened, it just did. And I can never go back. A particular Korean boy band called Big Bang who happen to be HUGE in Asia, have become part of that obsession. This is a fresh track off their new album...and I apologize in advance for the crazy "WTF" outfits/hairstyles in the vid as that is how they apparently do in the world of Kpop. Hope you guys like it!

Mother India Says Namaste

I am back! I apologize for not being able to post anything while I was there, for some reason the blogger was being anal and wouldn't allow me to. I suppose because I was trying to blog from out of the country and blogger detected that and was all attention foreign hacker, no chance you're gonna try and post from Lissa's account!
Anywhoo....
India was incredible, enriching in so many ways. So much culture and history and then there's the breath taking scenery, the colours, the people and fresh naan bread! YUM. And the downside...the dirty, stinky, overcrowded part, and let's not forget the poverty. It's an eye opener. It makes you realize how wealthy you actually are. You definitely gotta be open minded if you plan to go to India. But I think it's one of those trips that everyone should get to experience for the themselves at some point in their lives. I believe we all need a change of perspective once in while, we need to see with different eyes...
